If you follow the wiring, the white clips brought the wall transformer signal from its plug seen at the top left. The red and black wires powered the unit. The lower connections are those made by the L-shaped 3 position plug, ground is the middle terminal on the '89. Input, marked as G(auge) is where the white clip is near the bottom. Power positive normally enters at the upper terminal on that 3-pin plug, but because it goes right out to the flex fuse through the connector at the top of the board, I've applied power to the center pin where it returns. These are connections common to the speedo heads pre-ABS; I've heard there is some confusion about terminal use on the later 92 and 93 clusters. |
