You need to put an actuator in the driver's door.

Unless you are putting keyless into a 242. I found this out the hard way, but it is true there is always something to do inside a 240 door panel. Repair or replace the vapor barrier. Adjust and tighten the window regulator hardware.

The linkage connects to the bottom of the lock knob switch.

The actuator can be removed from a 240 in a salvage yard - any door that has one. But the linkage must come from a front door to be right. The right front door of course.

Extend the wires to reach across the door, through the door jamb tunnel, and long enough to splice to the existing blue and yellow central locking motor wires.

The actuator wiring can follow the switch wiring using a few zip ties.

Carefully peel the adhesive vapor barrier from the door hinge and jamb opening behind the fuse panel. I used a stiff steel wire to fish for the electrical wiring.

With experience, I found it easier to extend the wires to the center console, but have also found them along the door sill where they run the left rear door from the B pillar.

Any way you connect these will do. I am showing my own choice to strip, split, and twist
